Consultancy Grades
1. Director/ Partner
At least ten years experience in the relevant specialist
field including leading a minimum of 20 significant
assignments relevant to this category, preferably in
organisations with complex legislative or bureaucratic
backgrounds. Extensive experience of leading or
directing major, complex and business critical projects,
bringing genuine strategic insight. Knowledge of the
public sector and of current policy and political issues
affecting it or a specific specialism relevant to the
particular assignment. Demonstrates clear leadership and
an ability to communicate with and work effectively at
Ministerial/Board/CE level. Proven track record in
quality assurance of deliverables to a high quality
standard.
2. Principal Consultant
At least eight years experience in the relevant field
including leading a minimum of 20 significant
assignments relevant to this category, preferably in
organisations with complex legislative or bureaucratic
backgrounds. Sound knowledge of the public sector and
current policy and political issues affecting it or a
specific specialism relevant to the particular
assignment. Experienced in managing programmes of
work/multiple workstreams. Demonstrates clear
leadership and an ability to work effectively with
senior management.
3. Senior
Consultant
At least five years experience in the relevant field
including leading at least 12 significant projects
relevant to this category, preferably in organisations
with complex legislative or bureaucratic backgrounds.
Fully trained and experienced in project management and
in working with senior client representatives.
Familiarity of the issues and problems facing public
sector organisations. Trained (and qualified as
appropriate) and proficient in the standard
methodologies relevant to the specific category.
4. Consultant
At least three years experience of providing support to
at least 8 significant projects relevant to this
category. Experienced in taking a lead on specific
project workstreams and successful in working in a team
environment and in effecting skills transfer. Trained
(and qualified as appropriate) and proficient in the
standard methodologies relevant to the specific
category.
5. Junior Consultant
At least two years experience of providing support to at
least 4 significant projects relevant to this category.
Trained in the standard methodologies relevant to the
specific category.
6. Technician / Research Assistant
Typically an honours graduate with at least 12 months
practical experience of providing technical support to
projects, (e.g. web-based research, spreadsheet
development, database construction/maintenance, project
office support).
